CharityVis

I built CharityVis in the spring of 2008 for my Information Visualization class.
CharityVis

CharityVis is a visualization of data from over 5,000 charities, created for my Information Visualization course. The tool allows users to explore the nonprofit sector in an easy and enjoyable way. CharityVis allows you to see an overview of charities across a range of categories while providing a detailed focus on charities of interest. Users can easily filter the charities shown by type, geography, or keyword search.

CharityVis was built using Adobe Flex with a PHP/MySQL backend. The project was a collaboration with two other students, Shawna Hein and Jonathan Hicks.
